Hi, I’m Zach Chew, Class of 2026 at Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep. I’m half Chinese and half Korean, and I take a lot of pride in my Asian-American heritage. That’s one of the reasons I joined SF Futuremakers–to connect with other Asian-American leaders, and give back to my community.

Independent Project

I worked with RefuseRefuse on their Year of the Cleanup series, a collection of street cleanups in Asian-American neighborhoods that highlight and celebrate Asian civic pride. For my personal project, I conducted a series of interviews with Year of the Cleanup leaders and volunteers, which I edited into brief videos promoting civic engagement. I shared these stories on social media, inspiring others to become invested & involved in their neighborhoods.
